  6. New SystemCooperation and Coordination • Improved communication between sectors and with constituent groups • Improved and expanded cross-sector initiatives • Expanded utilization of articulation and transfer agreements

  8. Students • Cadre of highly qualified faculty and staff stand ready to serve the student’s needs

  9. Students -Roles • Currently students play an integral role in the governance of the college • Local boards will continue to gather input from the student body in order to best serve their needs

  13. Bonding Authority • Offers an opportunity for the state to create a robust infrastructure to support all levels of education • Offers an opportunity for the state to more adequately fund statewide initiatives that impact all constituent groups

  14. Bonding Authority • Statewide database of students • Longitudinal system to track students from cradle to career and beyond • Technology based system that facilitates transfer of student information and transcripts among and between institutions

  15. Bonding Authority • Transfer Specialists on every CC • A trained specialist to assist students who wish to transfer to any OUS institution • Expansion of current efforts to improve dual credit offerings

  18. Future Challenge • Adequate funding • The state did reinvest this year –In order for all levels of education to support sustained economic development and job creation through a well prepared and educated workforce continued investment is necessary
