  4. Expected Results of the workshop Common understanding on concepts, principles and elements of nfps. Indicators identified to assess the implementation of the nfp principles in the <country> context and have tested them in a participatory way. “Issues and requirements” identified for the implementation of the nfp principles in <country> and analysis of the prospects for the future. Defined ways on how to address the “issues” and fulfil requirements of a <country> nfp process. Identified capacity-building needs for the nfp process in <country>.

Questions we will be asking ourselves • What is the concept and potential of an nfp process and how does it fit into overall development planning in <country>? • How can principles and elements of nfps best be used for forest policy formulation and implementation in <country>? • How to practically implement cooperation among stakeholders within the framework of the <country> nfp? • What capacities are required and what partnerships can be built to advance the nfp?
