Outline • The earlier developed algorithm for smoothing the atmospheric term in the SST equations has been implemented with the experimental ACSPO version. • Extra CPU time is several sec per 10 min. VIIRS granule • New variable – “smoothed BT difference” has been added to ACSPO output and needs to be added to matchups • Next slides show examples of the smoothing algorithm’s performance
