You need least cost routing What is call routing?
The explanation • Let me show you the basics: • In South Africa we currently have 4 telephone network options to choose from when we make a call. • Telkom • Vodacom • MTN • Cell C • The type of telephone instrument used is irrelevant.
You are liable for your costs You will be liable for your total calltime, no matter which network you use and what your contract states. These calls are either charged for per minute or per second, depending upon the network you use. You need to make calls – your very livelihood depends upon it, but you have to make these calls in the most cost effective manner!
Routing Options In the case of FCU’s (Fixed Cellular Unit’s used for routing) the following technology is utilised: MTN VODACOM F C U P A B X your phone TELKOM
Current price differences The only difference to you is price, price, price! numberdialled 082 687 85 83 R0.022 per second MTN VODACOM F C U P A B X your phone TELKOM R1.60 per minute
How much do you save? 1. Evaluate your Telkom accounts. Add up the costs to cellular networks such as: MTN, Vodacom and Cell C, separately 2. If you already have a router in place, include the cost of calls exceeding contractual value. Do these to the seperate networks as well. Proceed to next slide.....................
The contract for you! Do these costs exceed R1800.00 per month? No?Forget it! No real savings! Yes?Keep Going
Actual Savings If you have a total of R1800 per month expense to cell phone calls – you need a Vodacom T500 contract. If you exceed R1800 per network, per month, you need one Vodacom Corporate 500 and one MTN Value 705 contract for each R1800 denomination. Your savings equal 20% BUT Do not forget, this is the minimum saving, as with per second billing, this figure escalates with approximately 10%
Other advantages • On a 30 second call, your saving is: (R0.66 as opposed to R1.60) this is a whopping 58% • Call Back facility - router recognises cell number • calling in, cuts the call and dials it back – management, • family, long distance drivers, reps – everyone benefits • from one contract! • Bundled SMS straight from your desktop, using router! No external company needed! • EFFECTIVE July 2003 onwards
So how can you resist this? Get a free router installed at your home or place of business! The router will decrease the cost of your Telkom calls for a lesser increase in the cost of your cellphone network usage. This works well on all PABX’s, and private lines ( SOHO and home use.) finally.....................
