Team Recommendations • The team developed a detailed document containing the following concepts: • Definitions and eligibility criteria for single site, multiple site, campus, several site and complex organizations; • Audit day calculations methodology for all organizational types; • Information in the form of a detailed matrix and diagrams to help understand the different types of organizations
Organizational Structures • Team has developed detailed definitions and eligibility criteria for the following organizational structures • Single Site • Multiple Site • Campus • Several Sites • Complex • The above takes into consideration the unique organizational structures that exist in the Aviation, Space and Defense industry today
Organizational Structures Single Site - An organization that operates at one site. Site- A site is a permanent location where an organization carries out work or a service. Represents approximately 85% of all certificates in the ICOP Scheme
Organizational Structures Multiple Site - An organization having an identified central function and a network of sites at which activities are fully or partially carried out. All sites must have a common QMS and be doing substantially the same process. International Accreditation Forum Mandatory Document (IAF MD 1).
Organizational Structures Campus - An organization having an identified central function and a decentralized, sequential, linked product realization process. All sites must have a common QMS and support the same values stream. + + + = Value Stream
Central Function Site A Site C Site B Organizational Structures Several Site - An organization having an identified central function and a network of sites that do not meet the criteria for a multiple site or campus organization operating under the same QMS. Network of Sites
Organizational Structures Complex - An organization having an identified central function and a network of locations that are any combination of multiple site, campus, several sites or more than one campus. Must have a common QMS Will require review and approval Of OPMT Sub Team
