TCBB industry member, NVP Energy - novel low-temperature anaerobic digestion wastewater technology originating from research and activity by Prof Vincent O’Flaherty and his research group at NUI, Galway.
The NVP Energy technology was licensed from NUI, Galway in June 2013. • The process, which operates at temperatures <20◦C, treats effluent that originates from industrial and municipal sources, without the need for heat supply • In addition, the technology can reduce organic sludge volume by up to 90% when compared to aerobic systems. • The technology is very attractive as it has produced effluent which adheres to effluent release standards, e.g. Urban Wastewater Directive (UWWD) release standards, without the need for post-treatment. • contact@tcbb.ie
