Who’s Better than Who?? • Most authors use similes a lot more than idioms in a passage. • The reason I think they do this is because there aren’t very many idioms that connect to the story or passage.
Extra’s for Similes • Similes are words kind of like synonyms. They show who words are literal. • Similes could be like, “Slick as a snake,” or “Small as a carrot.” • A lot of books use similes to interest the reader.
