Ammunition Depot Has Ammo for Some of History’s Most Interesting Stealth Firearms

Ammunition Depot carries the highest-quality .300 AAC Blackout for sale today. The .300 AAC Blackout cartridge was originally developed as a closer-range alternative to the 5.56 NATO and its civilian cousin the .223 Remington, that packed a little more punch. It has since become increasingly popular with hunters as a great option to take down mid-sized to big game. It’s emerged as one of the best hog loads on the market, for instance.

  1. Ammunition Depot Has Ammo for Some of History’s Most Interesting Stealth Firearms Suppressed (silenced) pistols have drawn a lot of attention throughout history and continue to do so. They remain a popular feature of the imagination, including as a perennial trope in Hollywood. Silenced firearms, particularly handguns, are the tools of both heroes and villains, assassins and superspies. In real life, they have indeed been used by heroes and villains, assassins and spies. But also people who want a quieter gun when hunting or plinking at the range. The phrase “quieter” is appropriate because virtually no suppressors actually silence a gunshot, though some come pretty close, and none of them sound like the ones in movies or on TV. Perhaps most interesting are the internally-suppressed firearms that have been used in combat, which will be most of the focus here. And if you ever happen to find any of these guns, or own one yourself, Ammunition Depot has the ammo you need to keep them stocked. .300 AAC Blackout The .300 AAC Blackout is a relatively new cartridge, but there are already internally-suppressed (integral silencer) firearms for the Blackout. It was designed to be a subsonic, and therefore easily suppress-able, cartridge that packed more punch than the 5.56 NATO round. It’s been picked up by sportsmen and is now considered to be one of the premier loads for short-to-mid- range big game and varmint hunting. Welrod and the Welwand The Welrod and Welwand are two of the most excellently 007-esque products of the British Welwyn Garden City WWII-era research facility, also excellently Bond-esque, Station IX. They are tools of what the Brits referred to as “Un-Gentlemanly Warfare.” The Welrod was an

  2. incredibly quiet integral silencer-equipped .22 caliber handgun. It is one of the quietest pistols in history, only 73dB, about as loud as a modern car. (Should you find a Welrod, remember that Ammunition Depot has the best .22 LR ammo to practice with on the range.) The Welwand was an integral silencer-fitted .32 tube, a sleeve gun. It fit, appropriately, up an agent’s sleeve and could be silently fired into a (Nazi) target so the agent could (presumably) escape. High Standard HDM To convince FDR that the integrally-silenced HDM was a good investment, the founder of the CIA precursor, the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), “Wild” Bill Donovan fired a .22 High Standard HDM into a sandbag in the Oval Office without the President hearing it. Since then it has found its way into the toolkit of soldiers and spies for decades. The Soviets took one off of downed U-2 spy pilot Francis Gary Powers. If you’re lucky enough to have a High Standard HDM, find the best .22 LR ammo for sale at Ammunition Depot. Get everything you need for https://www.ammunitiondepot.com/ sport and hobby shooting at
