Scenario • Scenarios are part of a suite of commands sometimes called what-if-analysis tools. A scenario is a set of values that Microsoft Excel saves and can substitute automatically in your worksheet. You can use scenarios to forecast the outcome of a worksheet model. You can create and save different groups of values on a worksheet and then switch to any of these new scenarios to view different results.

Database Application • Database application is a program that interacts with the database at some point in its execution. • It consists of an organized set of menus, forms, reports, business rules, and the database it operates on.

Categories of Database Applications • One-Tier • Legacy online transaction processing • PC database application • Two-Tier client/server • Client-based presentation. • Processing logic is buried either inside the user interface on the client or within the database on the server, or both.
