What is Project Management • Project Management is the discipline of planning, organizing, and managing resources to bring about the successful completion of specific project goals and objectives. • Earned Value Management (EVM) is a project management tool that integrates the technical, cost, and schedule parameters of a contract or project.
What EVM Does For You • It improves the transparency of the manufacturing or construction process so that when problems arise, the right people can be notified in real-time. • It improves situational awareness of programs. • It provides metrics allowing problems to be anticipated and corrected
EVGen3 Objectives • Eliminate disparate formats and media • Create a library of formal, published XML schemas (data components) that can be used by the project management community • Facilitate data exchange for all parties • Customer, prime contractor, teammates, multiple tiers of suppliers,internal management • It is the world standard for cost and schedule reporting and management
