  3. Teaching It…. • *(Draw three icons – foot, eye, thought bubble- on the board or transparency) • *Find an important moment in your memory piece, and I’ll show you a trick!! Write a sentence with these three parts: • Where your feet went, • What you saw, • and what you thought.

  4. Here’s an example: When I went (point to the feet)into the kitchen, I saw (point to the eye)my mom at the stove, stirring a pot. (point to the thought bubble) Mmmm, I thought. Chili! * NOW… YOU try one!

  5. I’ll give you a prompt... • You are about to receive a very prestigious award…. I have given you phrases in which you are to complete to make one unique sentence. • I walked up on the stage…. • I saw a person….. • and I thought….. • Share what you’ve created!

  6. Ideas to ponder….A few things you can do in your room.. • Read a picture storybook and have kids write a ‘ba-da-bing’ from the book. • Distribute storyline strips and have groups of students • “Chicken Strips”- Take their “2” paper and insert 3 ‘ba-da-bings’ and staple in place, offer a revision grade for their corrections.
