  4. Declarative Sentences That boy is my brother. Last night, we ate spaghetti for dinner. My favorite novel is Number the Stars. Tomorrow is my birthday.

  5. Interrogative Sentences May I borrow your pencil? Do you know what time we have math? Are you finished with your homework? Could you please raise your hand?

  6. Imperative Sentences Give me back my baseball mitt. Pick up those papers. Throw the ball to the pitcher. Look behind you!

  7. Imperative Sentences * An imperative sentence gives a command. * Imperative sentences end with a period or exclamation mark. * Imperative sentences often begin with a verb.
