MEMORY VERSE “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”Proverbs 3:5-6 ASSIGNMENT FOR THE WEEK Think about ways you already rely on God, make a list of the ways God is faithful; from the biggest to the smallest. Make a list of any times you relied on God through prayer and obedient action – this could begin with your decision for Jesus.

What were his motives to then seek advice from his friends? Read Proverbs 3:7. What is it to be “wise in your own eyes”? Give examples 10

  11. CONCLUSION Seeking counsel provides - Valuable information for decision-making: EXPERIENCE – from someone who has been there, OBJECTIVITY – from someone who can see the ‘Big Picture’, EXPERTISE – from someone who has more knowledge.

It, FORMAL: obtaining specific advice, or PASSIVE: reading an advert in a magazine. Pay attention to the times you rely on input from others for decision-making, Make a list, one occasion per day.
