Approvals • Packages gather per-item approvals • Items may have multiple approve/reject marks • Previous approve/reject was reject/unreject • Authorities and Record Sets may have approval requirements • Restrict when archive gateways may be invoked • Groups of signatures w/ min number of signatures, or required individual signatures Review

  4. New Roles and Scope • Record-set level scope for accounts (in addition to global, domain, package) • Roles for managing approvals • Roles for managing archive resources Review

Server Upgrades • Receiving servers use SleepyCat DB instead of METS for package metadata • More efficient package metadata updating • Inline storage of item state • Db can seamlessly migrate as schema changes • Clean separation of responsibility between manager and receiving server • Package state information stored on managers rather than receivers Review
