  2. Environmentalist Born in San Francisco, California The great earthquake of 1906 caused him to fall and break his nose, his nose is one of his distinct features because of that. He was an only child. Charles Adams, his father influenced and inspired him. When he was 12 he taught himself to play the piano, and read music. Information

  3. Education • He felt restricted in school. • Didn’t really believe in school. • Left school at age 13 • After that his father tutored him. • A little later after that he dreamed of being a concert pianist.

  4. His photography • His work appears in different museums. • He usually did landscape photos, and in black and white. • Most of his photos are of the west, Yosemite.
