  2. Case Application Tricia has been breastfeeding her daughter for the past 9 months. She had her menstruation back for 4 months. Her last menstruation was November 15. She expects to have her menstruation back by December 13. Today is November 25. She and her husband decided to use SDM. Setting up A Responsible Parenthood-Natural Family Planning Program

  3. Can Tricia use SDM right away? • Based on the Criteria for Breastfeeding mothers, she can use SDM right away. RECOMMENDATION: • But she needs to be asked if there is lovemaking from November 22-25. • If the answer is YES… she can not use SDM because she might be pregnant already.   5. Case Application Vinastopped using birth Control pill last March 9, the day she had her menstrual flow. While using pill, her menstruation was normal. Her menstrual period came back April 7.   8. Case Application Today is November 25. Sheila would like to start on SDM use but her last Depo-injection was March 24 and was due for injection last June 24 but she did not have the shot.   11. Case Application 4 AlingLora and her husband Visited the clinic to find out if she can switch to SDM. She is on IUD use for more than 5 years. She gets her monthly menses at exactly the same time every month at about 29 days interval from onset of her menses. She had her last period June 2. Today is June 4.   12. Can aling Lora use SDM right away? • Based on the Criteria for IUD used, she can use SDM right away provided they agree to remove the IUD during the visit.
