APA style has 2 parts: The references page is a list of all the sources cited in the paper. The in-text citations tell readers when a source has been used and which one.
An exampleIn-text citation: The height of a horse is measured from its shoulder to the ground (Connor, 2008).References page: Connor, L. (2008). The complete book on horses. New York: Random House.
To cite a source1. Decide what type of source it is: book, journal article, magazine article, newspaper article, website.2. Follow the appropriate pattern in listing it on the References page.
