  1. Write Up Totem Pole

  2. 4 things represented inyour Totem Pole 1. Animal that represents your inspiration 2. Animal that represents your future 3. Animal that represents your preset 4. Animal that represents your past

  3. Write up

  4. Write up • For each of those four animals, write an explanation (4-7 sentences minimum if you must count) • Be DETAILED! • Ms. Y is not here and will not ask you about your totem poles – the write up has to explain everything in DETAIL so she clearly understands why and how each animal symbolizes your past, present, future, and inspiration

  5. Totem Pole • Animal that represents past • A badger represents my past because I am a brave person. I also have had a lot of problems dealing with other people, but I still take care of others. When I was younger I was bullied a lot, but I learned to stand up to those people and to protect myself and my friends.

  6. Totem Pole • Animal that represents my present • A wolf represents who I am right now. The wolf represents family ties and I am really close with my family and friends. I was raised by my parents to remember we “could do anything, as long as we worked together as a family.” Because of how my parents raise me , like with the symbolism of the wolf, I never give up on anything and I think it is important to see whatever I am working on through.

  7. Totem Pole • The cougar represents my future goals. I look at where I am right now, and I want to be able to change a lot about my future. I know that will take some “courage” on my part, but I want to begin to take full “responsibility” for myself and my actions. The cougar also represents foresight, and while sometimes I may not have much I know that I need to start looking forward if I am going to have the future I want for myself. Part of what the cougar also represents is loyalty. To me that means not losing myself along the way; being loyal to who I am and who I want to be, without letting other people change me into someone I do not want to be.

  8. Totem Pole 1. Animal that represents your inspiration 2. Animal that represents your future 3. Animal that represents your preset 4. Animal that represents your past • For each of those four animals, write a full paragraph explanation • Make sure each paragraph explains: • WHY the animal represents you (what qualities about the animal represent this part of your life) • HOW the animal represents you (a reflection on how the symbolic traits tie to your life)
