What is ImageNow™ • A document management software platform • Virtual File Cabinet • Links directly to a host application such as: • PeopleSoft • RMS • ACT • EMAS • Workflow manager • Allows documents to be routed to different employees • Controls versions to eliminate duplicate copies • Allows for easy destruction/deletion of documents • Contains a virtual “time clock” for retention and disposition • Matched up directly with University Records Retention Schedule

  3. Desktop Application • Loaded on the desktop • Uses Campus Connection credentials • Available as a Webapplication

  4. Basic Concepts Image imported into ImageNow Document loaded in Scanner Document Paper copy is shredded

  5. Capture Profile – Images Document • Images can be created from: • Scanners • Existing files (W:\ drive, desktop, etc.) • Fax Machines & other peripherals

  6. Quality Assurance – Multiple Options • All images can/should be reviewed for quality assurance • Catches scanning errors • Allows for easy re-scan/re-import

  7. Batch – Ready for Linking • Link to a host application • PeopleSoft, RMS, ACT, etc. • Open program with ImageNow, side-by-side

  8. Link Document to Host Record • Extracts key data elements from host program • Stores elements on the document in ImageNow

  9. Linked Keys & Custom Properties • Can use drop-down fields for ease in selection • Can store custom data fields
