IIS Program Objectives Joint Program • FRQNT – Fonds de recherche du Québec - Nature et Technologies • NSERC - Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada A profitable partnership for everyone… • Objectives: • Improve employment prospects for recent graduates of the master’s and doctoral programs and • Foster the development of companies’ innovation capacity through university-industry partnerships.
Joint Research • Partnership Agreement between the university, the student and the practicum host • Determination of the project and its deliverables; • University and practicum host obligations (joint supervision); • Terms and conditions with respect to confidentiality and intellectual property. • During the research project • Student obligations: • spend the majority of his/her research time at the practicum host; • stay at the same practicum host for the entire scholarship period; • produce an annual progress report and a final report.
