The Fun Part!!! • Picture Options • Insert pictures from clip art , file, and scanner • choose size and placement on page
The Fun Part!!! • Autoshapes Options • create own pictures by selecting the size, color of the lines, and fill color of the shapes
The Fun Part!!! • Textbox Options • Insert text within the shapes by placing a TEXTBOX over the shape I inserted a text box over this heart and now I can write in it!
Finishing Touches • May add page numbers at the bottom of the pages • use PRINT PREVIEW to see exactly how the pages will look BEFORE PRINTING • may select different colors of paper to print your text • Nina’s Sample

Columns and MS WORD Nina’s Sample
Column Setup • Click on the FILE Menu at the top of the screen • Click and drag to PAGE SETUP • Click on the tab labeled PAPER SIZE • Click on the circle next to LANDSCAPE • Click OK
Column Setup • Choose the FORMAT menu • Click and drag to COLUMNS • Choose the box labeled TWO COLUMNS • Click on the circle labeled LINE BETWEEN • Check the EQUAL COLUMN WIDTH box and click OK
Column Setup • In the first column, type BACK PAGE OF BOOK • Press ENTER until you reach the end of the column • Choose the INSERT menu from the top of the screen • Click and drag to BREAK. . . • Choose COLUMN and click OK
Column Setup • In the second column, type FRONT PAGE OF BOOK • Press ENTER until you reach the end of the column • Choose the INSERT menu from the top of the screen and choose BREAK. . . • Choose the box labeled COLUMN, • Click OK
Column Setup • Repeat these steps by labeling the columns according to the models handed out • IMPORTANT: DELETE THESE LABELS BEFORE YOU TYPE YOUR POEMS
Column Page #’s • To add page numbers • insert a TEXTBOX at the bottom of the columns • type the number that you want • right click on the textbox • select FORMAT TEXTBOX • change the color of the LINE to NO LINE • Click OK, click away from the textbox, and the lines of the textbox have disappeared
Finishing Touches • use PRINT PREVIEW to see exactly how the pages will look BEFORE PRINTING • after printing, can convert one-sided sheets to two-sided sheets with copy machine • may select different colors of paper to print your text • can staple book in the middle with stapler or use hole-puncher and insert ribbon
