  3. Mine Phone Emergency Use Procedures Give Following Info. • Call supervisor or hoistman. • Give your name. • Location of the emergency. • Description of the emergency. • Number of people involved.

  4. Mine Phone Emergency Use Procedures Cont. • Request Emts if necessary. • Request emergency evacuation procedures • Request activation of emergency block light system. • Stay by phone until released.

  6. What is happening? Is anyone in danger? How big is the problem? Who reported a problem? Where is the problem? Has a response started? What resources are on-scene? Who is responding so far? Is everyone’s location known? Information Needed During an Emergency.

  10. Give Details! Endangered Miners! • 1. Is anyone hurt? • 2. Has every one been accounted for? • 3. When and were was a missing person last seen?

  11. Give Details! Event: • 1. Will this problem require a first aid kit, EMT, or an ambulance. • 2. Should we call for mine rescue teams or just a couple of fire extinguishers. • 3. Report exactly what you are facing.

  12. Give Details! Response: • 1. What’s been done so far? • 2. How many people are on scene? • 3.What equipment is on scene? • 4. Be specific about what equipment is need.
