In search a of a better quality of life, jobs and housing Poor services, schools and hospitals Employment opportunities, better paid work in a hotel Drought and crop failure Conflict and war force people to leave their land Population growth – overpopulated areas cause over farming and poor soil Better quality of services, schools and hospitals Flooding and natural disaster e.g. Gujarat, India – people flee rural areas and do not return
