2. History of Pangaea The theory creator for this idea was in 1912 Alfred Wegener (1880-1930) noticed the same thing and thought that the continents were at one time squished into a single massive land piece which he called Pangaea (meaning "all lands"), and over time they have drifted apart into their current distribution. At first scientists did not really like or approve of this theory. It happened in the earth period called Paleozoic and Mesozoic.

3. Another theory being discussed while Wegener's theory was made was called the contraction theory. He had degrees in meteorology and astronomy. I think these degrees really don't help except for astronomy because it can help get a better understanding of things and its lay out. Later in time Arthur Holmes elaborated on his theory with plate tectonics and heating and cooling of the earths core parts . They both advised the same plan and same super continent. Pangaea

5. A convergent boundary is an actively deforming region where two (or more) tectonic plates or fragments collide with one another (Lithosphere). Convergent boundary

9. An example of a divergent boundary is a submarine mountain range such as the Mid-Atlantic Ridge; volcanic activity in the form of fissure eruptions; shallow earthquake activity; creation of new seafloor and a widening ocean basin they are beneath oceanic lithosphere, divergent boundaries

11. A transform fault or transform boundary, also known as conservative plate boundary, is a fault which runs along the boundary of a tectonic plate. The relative motion of such plates is horizontal in either sinisterly or dextral direction. An example is the San Andreas fault in California. The North American and Pacific Plates are moving past one another at this boundary, which is the location of many earthquakes. Transform boundaries

13. We live on the north American plate. We are boarded by the south American plate, the Caribbean plate, and the Juan de fuca plate. No we r not in any serious danger but California may be because of the giant fault located there. Real world connection
