Lew Costello-1985 Accomplishments: • Member of NN 28-5 (20-1 DVC) baseball team who played in the State Finals • 11-2 (7-0 in DVC) pitching record during senior year • Overall NN ERA of 1.5 • Unanimous All-DVC • Two-year letterman varsity football (Offensive Guard) • College of DuPage—Junior All-Star Team—2 years • 8 for 8 at University of Arkansas—Little Rock • Overall ERA of 1.71 at UALR • Threw a one-hit game at UALR
Jon Hall- 1986 Accomplishments: • National Honor Society, Top Ten in class of 1986, Soccer team captain • 37 goals in senior year (1st all-time), 31 career assists (4th all-time), 21 assists in senior year (single season record) • NN record-most goals in one game (5) • All-conference in 1984 and 1985 • IHSSCA All-State and NSCAA All-Midwest in 1985 • Northwestern University: four year starter, all-time single season scoring record holder, second all-time career scoring leader, 3rd in career assists, 1st in points for a season, and 2nd for career points • Earned the N Club Lifetime Achievement Award given to one athlete a year at Northwestern
Pat ambrose-1987 Accomplishments: • Basketball two year varsity letter-winner and team captain at NN • Basketball All-DVC and All-State Special Mention • Four year letter-winner at Augustana • Team captain at Augustana • All-Conference at Augie • Fourteen year head coach at Stevenson High School • All-time record holder in Stevenson’s history for # of wins and winning percentage • Coached 2007 4th place IHSA finishers • Has placed over 20 athletes at the collegiate level
Kelli warren (walters)- 1988 Accomplishments: • Earned nine varsity letters (soccer-4, basketball-4, softball-1) • Member of unofficial soccer state champions in 1987 • Member of IHSA Soccer State Champions 1988 • Member of 4th place in State basketball team 1988 • DVC All-Conference—Girls Basketball 1987-88 • Earned scholarship to University of Dayton • Mid-Collegiate Conference Girls Soccer Champions 1989 • NNHS freshmen girls basketball coach 1997-98
Brian kavanagh-1991 Accomplishments: • Varsity letter-winner in football and basketball • All-DVC football—1990 • At Kansas State University -1995 Holiday Bowl Offensive MVP -1996 Team Captain -Scored first rushing TD in Big 12 history -Threw first passing TD in Big 12 history -1996 2nd team All-Big 12 QB -1997 Cotton Bowl starting QB • Inducted into the Holiday Bowl Hall of Fame—2005 • Current KSU records; TD passes in a game—4 (4x), completion % in a game (86.4%), lowest career interception %, #3 in career passing efficiency, #6 in career passing TDs, and #11 in career passing yards
