INDIA Type of Intervention • Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Biomass Gasification System for Dual Fuel Power Generation application Title of the Case Study • ANKUR BIOMASS GASIFIER FOR CAPTIVE POWER CONSUMPTION Objective of the Case Study • To replace Diesel consumed in the engines by 70% Summary • The system was installed to replace Diesel consumed in the 2 Nos. Diesel Genset Choosing the Intervention – Motivation • By-product generated from Rice Mill is rice husk and the same was used in the Gasifier • Approx. 38 liters per hour Diesel was replaced in 2 Nos. Diesel Genset Description of the Intervention (150 words) • Ankur Scientific supplied, installed and commissioned the Biomass Gasification System for replacing about 38 Itrs/hr of Diesel which was being used in Diesel Genset for Power Generation Intangible or Tangible Benefit (100 words) • Diesel Saving - 456 liters per day • Payback Period – Approx. 7 months Some photographs of the project:
