  9. Referencing

  10. How to do the APA referencing?

  11. According to Fielding (2012), expert teachers make plans and concern about the impact of their teaching strategies on their pedagogical practices…… ……..The notion of expertise in teaching is also much akin to the ability of teachers in managing and building the classroom circumstances and learning communities within and beyond classroom contexts (Fielding, 2012; Loughran, 2010).

  12. Dissecting Paragraphs TEEEL Elements

  13. Structuring quality paragraphs - TEEEL • Topic sentence • Explanation • Evidence • Example • Link

  14. Can you identify TEEEL elements? The ‘Fresh Fruit Market’ initiative has delivered a range of positive outcomes. The program, paid for by the State Government, promoted healthy eating by allowing each of 300 schools to spend up to 40$ per week on a range of fruits such as apples, bananas, pears and melons. Studies have suggested that the effects are far reaching, with educational benefits as well as healthy improvements. Jones and Smith (2012) identified a link between fruit availability and healthier choices in the canteen; Zhang, Khan and Todd (2011) found that teachers at four primary schools were more likely to discuss healthy eating with their students on days when fresh fruit was provided, and Kennedy (2012) noted an increase in awareness about food production and origins in classes where fruit was available. One school even set up a ‘Food Festival’ encouraging all students to bring healthy foods from their own cultures to discuss. The funding cut to this program means schools must seek new ways to integrate nutrition into the classroom. One such project involves kitchen gardens.
