Goal of Impact Mitigation Improve the quality of life of PLHIV and those affected by HIV and AIDS, including orphans and other vulnerable children
Indicators of Impact Mitigation Current school attendance among orphans and among non-orphans aged 10–14
1. Most vulnerable children Indicator: • Percentage and number of MVC aged 0–17 whose households received free basic external support in caring for the child • Percentage of districts where there are community-based committees responsible for mobilising services for households with MVC
2. The Affected Indicator: • Percentage of adults aged 18-59 years who have been chronically ill for 3 or more months in the past 12 months whose households receives, free of user charges, basic external support including health, psychological or emotional and other social and material support (MKUKUTA)
3. People Living with HIV and AIDS Indicators: • Percentage of people expressing accepting attitudes towards people with HIV • Existence of a national PLHIV umbrella organisation that has the support of all the major PLHIV support groups in Tanzania • Percentage of PLHIV support groups that are functional (defined as PLHIV support groups that provide livelihood skills, psychological support to their members, conduct advocacy activities, understands the national HIV workplace programme, and promote positive learning)
