  2. Significant Achievements • Martin Luther was a german monk, theologian, and church reformer. Also was considered as the founder of Protestantism.

  3. Birth • Martin Luther was born November 10, 1483 in Eisleben, Germany.

  4. Education • He enrolled at a law school, but he dropped out immediately believing law represented uncertainty

  5. Personal Life • Hans, Elizabeth, Magdalena, Martin, Paul, Margarethe were his children • His wife was named Katharina von Bora • His parents names are Hans and Margarethe Luther

  7. Interesting Facts • Luther experienced intense spiritual struggles as he sought to work out his own salvation by careful observance of the monastic rule • he achieved his major theological breakthrough and came to the full realization of the doctrine of justification by faith alone
