REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA STATE STATISTICAL OFFICE The General government sector includes • Budgetary users • Central budget • Budget of local self-government (municipalities) • Pension and disability insurance fund • Health insurance fund • Agency for employment • Road Agency and • Some Non-profit institutions

REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA STATE STATISTICAL OFFICE Annual Financial Reports for government units • Balance of revenue and expenditures in which are included all revenue and expenditures of government units in accordance with standard classification adopted by Ministry of Finance • Balance sheet for assets and liabilities for state units

REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA STATE STATISTICAL OFFICE As a part of the Project IPA 2007 there was a Project - Harmonization of NationalAccount with EU Regulations • Financial data for 2008 have been used • SSOM have started with compiling of Government Account • Delimitation of the government units(50% rule) • Data are in cash base • ESA (95) codes to all transaction

REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA STATE STATISTICAL OFFICE Cooperation with Ministry of Finance • A list of units in corresponding sub-sectors in the frame of Government sector was prepared • Finance data on very disaggregate level for all revenues and expenditures are available • To transform data on accrual base • Data collected by Ministry of Finance are the same used as a base for calculation deficit or surplus

REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA STATE STATISTICAL OFFICE Government Sector Accounts • Priority in the frame of the IPA 2007 • Missions for collecting necessary data and compiling EDP tables in accordance with Handbook of Government deficit and debt • Missions were realized in State Statistical Office • Participants from Ministry of finance and National Bank • Non-formal technical group was formed

REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA STATE STATISTICAL OFFICE Memorandum of understanding in the field of macroeconomic and financial statistics from 2009 (Annex from 2010) • Base for cooperation between SSOM , Ministry of Finance and National Bank • The subject of the Memorandum is to determine in accordance with legal acts the responsibility of each institution • The memorandum for cooperation has been very useful for compiling Sector Accounts, Fisim and ROW Account

REPUBLIC OF MACEDONIA STATE STATISTICAL OFFICE Memorandum of understanding in the field of macroeconomic and financial statistics from 2009 (Annex from 2010) - cooperation between three institutions concerning SDDS application - additional work for institutions signatories about the data for Financial Account should be included.
