Some of the ways we use the system include; • Communication with drivers • Scheduling and Rostering • Assignment of work to the drivers • Payroll (Geofences generate exceptions) • Prestart checks & fault reporting • Recording of gross and axle masses • Fatigue Management • Speed Management • Incident & Accident investigation
Fatigue/Speed event process • Email Sent to Supervisor for immediate investigation and action; • Breach report run daily • Breaches interpreted and Non Conformances raised daily • Non conformances tracked and closed out with proof of remedial action taken • Data is analysed and reports are generated • Agenda item in Toolbox Meetings, Monthly Operations Management Meeting, Senior Management Meetings. • Business Segments compared, Fleets compared, Supervisors compared, drivers tracked for recidivism.
Step 1. Email sent to Supervisor for immediate investigation and action; • From: SmartTrack Alert • Sent: Thursday, 10 May 2012 1:13:31 PM (UTC+09:30) Adelaide • To: Smart Trackalert • Subject: NSW Bulk Production, 9335, Fatigue Breach • A fatigue breach event was detected at 10/05/2012 1:13:04 PM for Jeff McVicar (H) in 9335 • Scheme: Basic • Breach: Major • Rule: 14 Day - 144 Hours • Reason: Worked more than 144 hours in 14 days
Step 3b. Data interpretation recorded • Compliance use fatigue spread sheet to record all breaches from smart track and determine between false, policy and reportable breaches • Reportable breaches are entered into NCR system
Step 5. Supervisor supplies copies of investigation and remedial actions to compliance • Supervisor fills out breach investigation form to be filed with the remedial action in drivers file • Site safe actions are recorded in a spread sheet to track and ensure all actions have been followed through by Supervisors
Step 6. Compliance reviews and files corrective actions and investigations 12 Site Safe actions entered for April of these • 5 file notes • 2 investigations • 1 warning letter • 4 waiting response
