Uses of X-Rays • Used in hospitals and by physicians to image bones or teeth of patients and to find foreign objects or cancers • Used in security checkpoints at airports and other places • Also used by astronomers to study distant galaxies and the expansion of the universe
Dangers of X-Rays • X-Rays and other radiation have been linked to increased likelihood of cancer • There are also dangers associated with x-ray exposure for babies and women who are pregnant
