  2. Short history The company was established in February 1992 in České Budějovice by two partners. The business started with import of HDD, RAM and CPUs. Purchase was always from abroad since beginning. Abacus Computer started to grow in import business and gained significant market share on Czech market. Further expansion was through group of subsidiaries in the biggest cities in Czech Republic and nowadays also abroad. Important sales tool became B2B e-shop Netkoloniál.

  9. Private brand Abacus created private brand EVOLVE in late 2005. What was originally intended only as name for few MP4 players turned into huge portfolio of products. Curently we have over 300 EVOLVE items on stock and the volume is continuously growing.EVOLVE product lines consists of consumer electronics, IT components and green line products like alkaline batteries charger or LED light bulbs.

  10. Basic figures Although originally focused only on Czech market, Abacus is spreading its activities also to other countries of Middle Europe. EVOLVE sales are currently in Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland. Also distribution contracts of Cooler Master and Silverstone are for all these markets. Number of customers with purchase at least 1x per month: 1100 companies 1x per year: over 3000 companies Main sales channels are: Retail 12% E-tail 36% Resellers 41% Direct 11%
