This session explores the major physical, chemical, and biological components used to characterize water quality and their importance to aquatic ecosystems. Participants will learn how biological indicators are used to assess water quality, how to locate information on water quality for their watershed, and identify critical levels for stream and river ecology within the context of floodplain management.
