Paulo Cesar Tabares-Velasco • First published paper won 3 awards from ASHRAE • “The Role of Plants in the Reduction of Heat Flux through Green Roofs: Laboratory Experiments” • Developed an experimental apparatus and a predictive simulation model and tested it on a real green roof. • Provides unique insight into thermal performance of extensive green roofs • Has published three papers in 2011 on green roofs and heat flux
