  2. Insert / import Image What Makes the Best Stickout Photo? Make sure that the main focus of the picture is obvious and avoid busy picture backgrounds. This makes it difficult for PowerPoint to discern just what exactly is part of the background and what is not. Make sure the edges of the main subject of the photo are crisp and well defined. Pictures with blurred edges are not the best candidates for this artistic picture effect Choose your picture, one with some sort of background, and insert it on a blank pageMake a duplicate Ctrl+D, which will be slightly offset thatwill help with the next steps Click

Remove Background Your first step is to remove the background as explained in PPe.1 Tutorial ‘Remove Background’ Adjust until you are satisfied with the result Select original photo image and under Picture Tools select the Crop Dropdown menu and select Crop Use ‘handles’ to move edge to where you want the image cut Click Once Click

  4. P Place Image Place the ‘removed background image’ on top of the ‘cropped image’ Adjust with Ctrl+arrows to fit perfectly Zoom in to adjust more Click

  5. Insert Rectangle Here a Gradient rectangle were placed under the images to show the stick out better You will notice that some more attention is needed under the ‘Remove Background’ feature to finely tuned the image, especially when your show is projected on a big screen! Click Once Click
