FIST Professional Certificate Programme • CISCO NETWORKING LOCAL ACADEMY • FIST/MMU in collaboration with CISCO has set up a Local Network Academy in Melaka Campus to train students with leading edge technologies in the networking area. • The Local Academy has been fully operational since September 2002. The Local Academy has conducted CCNA and had a total of 648 (Sept 2002 to July 2006). • Microsoft IT Academy • Microsoft IT Academy (MSITA) is a collaboration between MMU and Microsoft to offer professional skill based courses for MMU students at a reasonable rate. FIST’s MSITA has been fully operational since 19 June 2004. Classes are usually conducted during weekends or at nights. • Since its inception in June, 2004, eleven (11) of courses had been successfully conducted and three (3) are currently running in 2006. A hundred and sixty one (161) students have benefited from the courses and forty five (45) more students currently going through the courses.
