Instructions • Using a pencil very lightly draw a grid of 2” squares on a 12” sheet of drawing paper. • Leave the top left square blank. • In the left column below the blank square, lightly draw a different geometric shape in each square. The shapes should fill the squares as much as possible. • In each corresponding row repeat each geometric shape in each remaining square. • In the top row continue to leave the left square blank and lightly draw a different organic shape in each remaining square. • In each corresponding column, repeat each organic shape. It will overlap the geometric shape already in the square. • Include the following color pencil techniques to color each square beautifully, stipple, hatching, cross-hatching, blending, scumbling.
