Actions taken by EPAP for CP promotion • EPAP Financing package WB 35 million US $ KfW 12.5 million Euro • Replacing of Direct cooling to indirect in Food Oil Producing Company to prevent water contamination and recover uncontaminated oil • Switching to argon flushing from mercury flushing in fluorescent lamps plant • Replacing a polluting old Kiln with a modern one superior in energy and raw material efficiency in a sodium carbonate • Reducing hexane emissions by efficient hexane recovery in a soy seed extraction plant • Substituting solvent based spraying with water based and switching from manual to automatic spraying • Substitution a degraded sanitary kiln by a new energy efficient kiln

Actions taken by EPAP for CP promotion • Institutional Component • Produce a national strategy for CP Formulated a Ministerial committee of 9 different ministries (Environment, Industry, Finance, Foreign trade, Electricity, Petroleum, Health, International Cooperation, Public Enterprises) to produce a national strategy for CP and assist in promoting it. • Review the executive regulation of law 4 for 1994 Propose a modification of the executive regulation to include CP aspects in order to be able to enforce the law
