Current Status of COSP within CAMhttp://www.cgd.ucar.edu/cms/jenkay/cosp/cosp.htm • MILESTONES ACHIEVED: • - COSP v1.3 (production version released June 25, 2010) implemented within CAM4/CCSM4 using CAM I/O. • - Compiles and runs with lahey or pgi fortran compiler on linux machine • Orbital sub-sampling and advanced namelist control for CFMIP experiments and ROSES09 project implemented • COSP and CAM-compatible COSP code on a branch in the CCSM repository • (https://svn-ccsm-models.cgd.ucar.edu/cam1/branches/cosp_cam4_1_01/). • STILL TO DO: • Make compatible with compilers on production platforms (e.g., bluefire, franklin) • Test implementation vs. published offline results (e.g., Zhang et al. (2010 JGR)) • Make compatible with CAM5 physics • Compare COSP implementation and results with other modeling centers (NASA, GFDL, UKMet Office) • Curtain output?
