MSSQL Server management. 1 st time use:. Establish a connection to our server. 1) Click the Server name drop-down box and choose “browse for more”. Click the Network Servers tab and expand Database Engine. Click on LIRANSRV and press OK. 2 nd time use and up:. Click Connect.

  2. 1st time use: • Establish a connection to our server 1) Click the Server name drop-down box and choose “browse for more”

  3. Click the Network Servers tab and expand Database Engine. Click on LIRANSRV and press OK.

  4. 2nd time use and up: Click Connect

  5. Explore the database • Expand LIRANSRV and Databases in order to see Gene-Architecture • Expand Tables to observe the different tables of the db • Expand Database Diagrams to observe the diagram of the database

  6. Database Diagrams • Opening an existing one: • Double-click the diagram’s name • Creating a new diagram: • Right click the Database Diagrams and choose New Database Diagram • Choose the tables that will participate
