Why is it important to have a variety of animals in the bay? The oysters help to clean the bay clean by filtering the bay. The mallards help to keep the bay clean by eating dead fish. Blue crabs are important to the bay clean by eating dead fish. My research will show that oysters, mallards, and blue crabs are important to the bay.
Oysters Oysters live on the floor and sides of the bay floors. Oysters are browns and look like clams but are not. Oysters have hard shells. Oysters help filter the bay. Oysters help filter the bay. Oysters stay under water but filter / clean the water. Oysters are important a part of the bay.
Blue Crabs Blue crabs are important to the bay because they are the symbol of Maryland. Also they are a food source and a important part of the food chain. The blue crab are important part to the bay because they are the bays most popular animal.
Mallards Mallards are important to the bay because they eat dead fish. Also Mallards are a important part of the bay. Also they help clean the bay by eating and filtering the water and dead animals.
Conclusion In conclusion I learned that Oysters, Blue Crabs, and Mallards are a important part of the bay. All of them are important to the bay! Oysters filter the bay ,and blue crabs are important to the bay because the Chesapeake Bay is known for blue crabs. Finally Mallards are important to the bay because they filter the bay.
