NOTE: The following provides guidance on IRD’s EPLS and UN screening process. This is not a policy document.
Update All employees, consultants, suppliers, vendors, grant recipients, and subcontractors to be screened against: • Excluded Parties List System • UN’s Sanction Lists
4. Click X 3. Check Box
5. On drop-down box, select Firm, Individual (Basic), or Individual (Full)
6. Type in First and Last name (if individual) 7. Click “Search” Box
View, Print, and File Results 8. If search produces “no results”, print and file with other documentation supporting transaction.
To Print • Click “Printer-Friendly”
Print and File • Click “Print” and File with transaction
If Search Produces “Results” If search produces a “hit”, immediately contact HQ Director of Contracts and Grants before proceeding further.
UN Sanction Lists • Access the United Nations Security Council list (resolution 1267 and 1989) • Go to http://www.un.org/sc/committees/1267/aq_sanctions_list.shtml
2. Click on the link to load list (HTML format seems to work better).
3. Note that the list is broken down into two sections, a) individuals and b) entities.
4. On your keyboard, press CTRL + F to pull up the search bar and type in the individual or entity. The number of results will appear to the right.
Print out results • On your keyboard press “PrntScn” (PrintScreen) • Open a new Word Document and paste the image • File the results Note: If there’s a “hit”, contact the Director of Contracts and Grants immediately!
Note: These instructions were specifically for UN resolution 1267 and 1989 (Al Qaeda). Please note are other UN lists that may need to be checked as well. Read your award document to determine additional requirements.
