  10. GUESS THE TYPE OF WETLAND? Get into a group. You will be given a picture of a wetland. Try and figure out what type of wetland you have?

  11. WHY ARE WETLANDS IMPORTANT? Filter out sediments and chemicals Provide food and shelter to wildlife Store excess water Absorb nutrients Anything else?

  13. THINGS WE DO THAT IMPACT OUR WETLANDS Leave water running Spill chemicals or gas near wetlands Litter Leave lights turned on Develop new malls or stores – drain wetlands ATV to close to wetlands or off trails
