INTRODUCTION • WHAT IS POVERTY? Poverty is the situation where people suffer or failing to affording the basic human needs such as food , shelter, nutrition , health care, clean water and education .This issue can be because of money problem , lack of resources and insufficient of material and monetary value.
The statistics shows that: Poverty is also generally understood to be the situation where 20, 000 die each day as a result of extreme poverty. 8, 000 of malaria, 5, 000 of tuberculosis, 7, 500 of AIDS and thousands more of diarrhoea, respiratory infection and other killer diseases. 'The poor die in hospitals wards that lack drugs, in villages that lack antimalarial bed nets, in houses that lack safe drinking water. They die namelessly, without public comment. Sadly such [news] stories rarely get written. Most people are unaware of the daily struggles for survival, and of the vast numbers of impoverished people around the world who lose that struggle' [3].Hunger - chronic, acute, hidden.

Courses of poverty This issue can be caused by the following : • Over population, people become affect when they are unemployed and poor this can affect even economic growth to decrease and people has nothing to do so they are turning to increase the high birth rate some of them because of rape and so on . • Global distribution of resources such as seeds to start their projects • High standard of living ,every thing is expensive like food ,clothes ,shelter etc. . • Cost of living the unaffordability of food ,clothes and nutrition's because every thing is money and if you are
Courses of poverty continue • Cost of living the unaffordability of food ,clothes and nutrition's because every thing is money and if you are unemployed it become so difficult. • Unemployment because of technology • Inadequate in education unskilled people • Individual responsibility
The effects and consequences of poverty Effects are: • Drug abuse and addiction for example people are unemployed and there is lack of job opportunities so the turn to be drug dealers . • Increase crime ,people has nothing to do and do not afford because of money • Children and women abuse ,parents especially fathers who have no job are becoming so bossy and others abuse their children because of stress • Homeless people and street kid children they left their homes because of inadequate of food etc. • Education deficiency no money to pay school fees ,uniform and exercise • Mental and physical problem depression because of hunger and poor health care service • Depressed and lack of opportunities ,no creation of job opportunities.
Result of poverty This can create a bad effect in our country such as • decrease of economic growth • Increase HIV/AIDS • Increase crime • Street children and unskilled people
Prevention of poverty This issue can be prevented by the following ; Communities and societies can combine and start projects like vegetable gardens ,ask for help and support from other organisations to assist with resources and materiel such as seeds and so on and that can be sold and get money . Can also be the donations and charity organisations and much more.
