  5. 3-Ring Binder w/ Dividers (Suggested for loose papers) • Reader’s Notebook • Post it’s • 3 ½ x 5 Index Cards • Paper • Pencils/Pens Required Material

  6. All rules in the Student Handbook. • Be ready to begin class as soon as the bell rings. • Pencils Sharpened and materials needed for Bellringer out. • Listen respectfully while others are speaking. • Be polite, kind, and supportive to others. • Be prepared for class by bringing all assignments and materials. • Clean and straighten their desk area before leaving. Classroom Expectations

  7. Warning given • Loss of privileges • 30 minute detention • 30 minute lunch detention • 1 hour after school detention • 2 hour detention • Referred to administration Consequences for Actions

  8. 1st tardy – a verbal warning will be given and teacher documentation • 2nd tardy – a teacher detention will be assigned • 3rd tardy – an office referral will be completed, 1 Hour After School Detention • 4th tardy – an office referral will be completed, 2 Hour After School Detention • 5th tardy – an office referral will be completed, 1 day ISS • 6th tardy – an office referral will be completed, 2 days ISS • 7th tardy – an office referral will be completed, 4 days ISS Tardy-Be In your Seat By The Time the Bell Rings.

  9. Find the Bin with your class period on it. • Put your homework in the folder with your name on it. • All missing work will receive a ZAP. • Home work will be returned in the stacked file organizer to the left of the homework bins. Turn In Homework

  10. 1st assignment Placement in ZAP daily until the assignment is complete, parents contacted by teacher • 2nd assignment Placement in ZAP daily until the assignment is complete, parents contacted 5 • by teacher, tutorials required • 3rd assignment 1 hour after-school detention, parents contacted by teacher • 4th assignment 2 hour after-school detention, parents contacted by teacher, student conference held with teachers • 5th assignment Office Referral, 1 day ISS, parents contacted by teacher and Assistant Principal • 6th assignment Office Referral, 2 days ISS, parents contacted by teacher and Assistant Principal *Students working on the same assignment during lunch time for 3 days will be issued an after school detention. Projects/Papers/Test Grades: • 1st project 1 hour after-school detention, parents contacted by teacher • 2nd project 2 hour detention, parents contacted by teacher • 3rd project Office Referral, 1 day ISS, parents contacted by teacher and Assistant Principal • *Students with projects not turned in within three days of the due date will be assigned a day of ISS to complete the project. ZAP

  11. All Make-Up Work Is In The “Make-Up Work Bin”-Check There First. • 1 Day Absence – within 3 days after return • Extended Absences – within 3 days plus the number of days absent after return Make-Up Work

Homework (copying or lending) • 1st Infraction: 1/2 credit on re-do, Teacher Detention, Parent notified by Teacher • 2nd Infraction: a zero will be recorded for the assignment, 1 hr After School Detention, Parent notified by Teacher • Repeat infraction: a zero will be recorded for the assignment, Office Referral = 2 hr After School Detention, AP notifies parent • Consequences will increase with each additional incident. Test, Major Projects, AR tests (copying or lending) • 1st Infraction: 1/2 credit on re-do, 2 hr After School Detention, Teacher and AP notifies parent • Repeat Infraction: a zero will be recorded for the assignment, 1 day ISS assignment, AP notifies parent Sharing Answers

  13. BEFORE CLASS: Sharpen Pencils Put away extra materials Copy class Objective Begin Bell Ringer on the board BEFORE END OF CLASS: Write down assignments the week in your planner Clean up your space Before The Bell Rings
