History of Existentialism It was during the Second World War, when Europe found itself in a crisis faced with death and destruction, that the existential movement began to flourish, popularized in France in the 1940.

Summery of the Story The story deals with an afternoon of the summer when few Indian children play ‘Hide and seek’ and its revel the psychology of children’s world. Ravi, one of the youngest children of the story, decides to find the ‘perfect’ hiding spot. Finding it in a shed, he hides throughout the game until all the others have been caught. Ravi finally revealed he to the others reaching ‘Den’ after the game had finished. However, the other children did not care, they had forgotten him. The story concludes when Ravi finally realizes how insignificant he is.
Touch of Existentialism in “Games at Twilight.” 1. No one pays attention to Ravi. 2. Ravi’s playmates quit forget him. 3. Raghu had found all the others but he didn’t find Ravi. 4. Ravi’s playmates had played another and another game without Ravi.
