  5. Alcohol Poisoning • What is it?: Serious- sometimes deadly- result of drinking excessive amounts of alcohol. Binge drinking can lead to alcohol poisoning. The effects of alcohol depend on the concentration of alcohol in your blood (BAC). • Factors that affect blood alcohol level:

  6. Blood Alcohol Concentration • One standard drink: • 12 oz. Beer (5% alcohol) • 5 oz. Wine (10-12% alcohol) • 1.5 oz. Liquor (40% alcohol)
