ACTS 11:19-21 19 Now those who had been scattered by the persecution that broke out when Stephen was killed traveled as far as Phoenicia, Cyprus and Antioch, spreading the word only among Jews. 20 Some of them, however, men from Cyprus and Cyrene, went to Antioch and began to speak to Greeks also, telling them the good news about the Lord Jesus. 21 The Lord's hand was with them, and a great number of people believed and turned to the Lord. ACTS 11:22-24 22 News of this reached the church in Jerusalem, and they sent Barnabas to Antioch. 23 When he arrived and saw what the grace of God had done, he was glad and encouraged them all to remain true to the Lord with all their hearts. 24 He was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and faith, and a great number of people were brought to the Lord.   5. ACTS 11:25-27 25 Then Barnabas went to Tarsus to look for Saul, 26 and when he found him, he brought him to Antioch. So for a whole year Barnabas and Saul met with the church and taught great numbers of people.   6. ACTS 11:28-30 28 One of them, named Agabus, stood up and through the Spirit predicted that a severe famine would spread over the entire Roman world. (This happened during the reign of Claudius.) 29 The disciples, as each one was able, decided to provide help for the brothers and sisters living in Judea. 30 This they did, sending their gift to the elders by Barnabas and Saul. HECHOS 11:19-21 19 Los que se habían dispersado a causa de la persecución que se desató por el caso de Esteban llegaron hasta Fenicia, Chipre y Antioquía, sin anunciar a nadie el mensaje excepto a los judíos. 20 Sin embargo, había entre ellos algunas personas de Chipre y de Cirene que, al llegar a Antioquía, comenzaron a hablarles también a los de habla griega, anunciándoles las buenas nuevas acerca del Señor Jesús. 21 El poder del Señor estaba con ellos, y un gran número creyó y se convirtió al Señor. HECHOS 11:22-24 22 La noticia de estos sucesos llegó a oídos de la iglesia de Jerusalén, y mandaron a Bernabé a Antioquía. 23 Cuando él llegó y vio las evidencias de la gracia de Dios, se alegró y animó a todos a hacerse el firme propósito de permanecer fieles al Señor, 24 pues era un hombre bueno, lleno del Espíritu Santo y de fe.   9. HECHOS 11:25-27 25 Después partió Bernabé para Tarso en busca de Saulo, 26 y cuando lo encontró, lo llevó a Antioquía. Durante todo un año se reunieron los dos con la iglesia y enseñaron a mucha gente. Fue en Antioquía donde a los discípulos se les llamó «cristianos» por primera vez. 27 Por aquel tiempo unos profetas bajaron de Jerusalén a Antioquía. IglesiaPresbiteriana de Riverside

HECHOS 11:28-30 28 Uno de ellos, llamado Ágabo, se puso de pie y predijo por medio del Espíritu que iba a haber una gran hambre en todo el mundo, lo cual sucedió durante el reinado de Claudio. 29 Entonces decidieron que cada uno de los discípulos, según los recursos de cada cual, enviaría ayuda a los hermanos que vivían en Judea. 30 Así lo hicieron, mandando su ofrenda a los ancianos por medio de Bernabé y de Saulo. GÁLATAS 5: 19-24 19 Las obras de la naturaleza pecaminosa se conocen bien: inmoralidad sexual, impureza y libertinaje; 20 idolatría y brujería; odio, discordia, celos, arrebatos de ira, rivalidades, disensiones, sectarismos 21 y envidia; borracheras, orgías, y otras cosas parecidas. Les advierto ahora, como antes lo hice, que los que practican tales cosas no heredarán el reino de Dios. 22 En cambio, el fruto del Espíritu es amor, alegría, paz, paciencia, amabilidad, bondad, fidelidad, 23 humildad y dominio propio.
