Aims • Restore the previous beam. • Rf commissioning: tuning of individual cavity phase. • Measure 1) time of flight, 2) tune, 3) COD at several (equivalent) momenta between 12.5 and 18.5 MeV/c. • Deceleration/acceleration.
Beam requirement • ALICE 12.5 MeV/c beam. • 1 bunch, 3 Hz • 40 pC • Small momentum spread
Run #15Saturday 26 February, shift 2 • Master timing has been changed. 20 ms delay is introduced. • Connect Ch2-septum, Ch1-kicker1, Ch4-kicker2, Ch3-BPM-E23 and AUX-BPM-EMI to adjust timing with Lecroy scope. • Make sure which cable (length) is used for these signals. • Swap septum cable with ALICE-RF after adjusting timing.
Run #15Saturday 26 February, shift 2 (continued.) • Establish 18.5 MeV/c equivalent beam for many turns for the first step. • Establish 16.5 MeV/c equivalent beam for many turns if there is enough (2~3 hours) time before 16:00. • Measure COD of 16.5 MeV/c. • Keep the same QD/QF ratio. • Peter Williams, Ian Kirkman and who else?
